Blake Shelton & Reba McEntire To Host 2012 Academy Of Country Music Awards

It was announced this morning that Blake Shelton and Reba McEntire will be back to host the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards, this will be the second year that Shelton and McEntire have hosted the ACM’s together. The 47th annual ACM Awards will air live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, on Sunday April 1st.

Reba McEntire announced today that she will be returning to tv again with her new show ‘Malibu Country’, ABC has purchased Malibu Country, a comedy starring Reba, who will executive produce and star in the show. Reba will play a woman who divorces her cheating husband and moves her family from Nashville to Malibu. There she’ll try to resurrect her own singing career and keep herself and three kids from being corrupted by the materialistic and rarified Malibu world she now calls home. Reba announced the news on her website today saying:”I know you’ve all been asking, and I can confirm that the rumors are true. We had our meeting yesterday with the folks at ABC and we now have a put pilot with ABC!!! That means we will shoot the pilot next April, and if everything goes like we hope it will, we’ll be shooting next August! Wooohooooo! I’m so excited about doing another TV sitcom! I miss the ‘Reba’ show so much so it will be great to get back into the TV world again!” No word yet on an official air date.

Reba McEntire announced she will be doing a 31 city arena tour this fall throughout the US and Canada. Joining Reba on selected dates on the tour our The Band Perry, Steel Magnolia and Eden’s Edge. “I am very excited about the fall tour. We are designing new production and staging. I’m looking forward to touring with the Band Perry, Steel Magnolia and Edens Edge. It will be a night of great music and I’m planning on having a blast.” Reba said in a statement, A full schedule and ticketing information will be announced at a later date.
