Nick Cannon Hospitalized For ‘Mild Kidney Failure’

Nick Cannon has been hospitalized in Aspen, Colo. with “mild kidney failure.” Cannon’s wife Mariah Carey posted the above picture & tweeted: “Please pray for Nick as he’s fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure. #mybraveman.” Mariah later took to her website and wrote a post saying: “Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are. We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. … I’m not trying to make light out of the situation because it’s a serious moment that’s very tough on all of us so please keep us and our family in your prayers.”

Mariah Carey announced today that she is the new brand ambassador for Jenny Craig. Mariah has lost 30 pounds on Jenny since the birth of her twins in April. In a statement a Jenny Craig spokesperson said:”Mariah Carey started on Jenny in late July following the birth of her twins Monroe Cannon and Moroccan Scott Cannon in April, and is taking this public journey to shine a spotlight on the importance of maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle, not only for herself, but for her children and for future generations.” Mariah also released a statement on her website: “As an artist, I use my voice to entertain. But, today I want to use my voice to draw attention to a serious matter. Two-thirds of the country is placing themselves at risk for heart disease and diabetes. Largely, that is due to unhealthy eating patterns and lack of physical activity. I obtained a greater understanding of this when I was pregnant with my twins and dealing with my own health issues. That’s why I feel so strongly about working with Jenny and the American Heart Association to help Americans get serious about their health as it pertains to these issues which are so important.”
