Kat Von D is in the middle of recording her first album, Kat told E! Online “I’ve been playing classical piano since I was six. So I understand the form, but it will be fun to be able to translate a message. I think it’s much like tattooing or the TV show or makeup, my clothing line, fashion…All those things, they’re just different outlets to be able to be creative. So music, I think it’s going to be one of those things.” Kat says her sound will be “more on the dark, more tragically romantic” side.

TLC announced today that the current season of Kat Von D’s LA Ink will be the last, in the statement TLC says: “TLC has decided that the current season of LA Ink will be its last. The network is proud of what the series has accomplished in its four seasons, following Kat Von D’s journey as an artist from Miami to Los Angeles. The series finale will air September 15th at 10 p.m.”
UPDATE: kat just took to her Twitter and posted this Tweet about LA Ink “I love how me deciding to not continue doing LA Ink, turns into being “cancelled.” Thanks @TLC. Regardless of everything I remain grateful.” Kat just released this official statement to People Magazine saying: “In an effort to capitalize on my recent breakup, the network has decided to focus their energy on re-editing events that didn’t happen while filming, I have no regrets and am very proud of the original footage. In my opinion, any attempt to compromise the honesty of that would be an insult to my fans and viewers.”

Despite Internet reports and an article in Life & Style that Kat Von D and Jesse James have gone their separate ways, the two are still a couple and are planning a Summer wedding. Kat told People magazine today “That’s the furthest thing from the truth.” Jesse also told the magazine “That is absolutely not true, We’re still going strong. Things are completely good with us. Everything is on track. I am absolutely more in love today than I was a year ago. She’s the one for me.” The couple also told the magazine that they are planning a summer wedding on the one-year anniversary of when they started, which is sometime in August.
