Blake Shelton’s father, Dick Shelton, died Tuesday evening in Oklahoma. Blake wrote on his website “I appreciate your understanding during this difficult time and thank you for all your prayers. Your support means the world to me. I love you guys, Blake.”

It was announced this morning that Blake Shelton and Reba McEntire will be back to host the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards, this will be the second year that Shelton and McEntire have hosted the ACM’s together. The 47th annual ACM Awards will air live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, on Sunday April 1st.

NBC announced today that Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton will return for Season 2 of ‘The Voice’. Executive Vice President of Alternative Programming at NBC and Universal Media Studios Paul Telegdy said in a statement “Our fantastic coaches were integral to the tremendous success of ‘The Voice’ this year and we are thrilled that they are all returning, We look forward to building season two and making ‘The Voice’ an even greater experience for fans.”
