Adele announced on her website Friday that she will have throat surgery and canceled all tour dates and promotional appearances for the year. A statement on her website reads: “It is with deep regret that Adele has been forced to cancel her remaining live dates and promotional appearances in 2011. She is to undergo surgery to alleviate the current issues with her throat and a full recovery is expected. As a result, doctors have ordered her to rest her voice and completely recuperate before looking to schedule any work commitments.Ticket holders for all cancelled live dates will receive a refund from the point of purchase. We apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment caused, and appreciate your understanding during this time.”

Adele has been forced to cancel her upcoming 10 city sold out U.S. tour which was to start in New Jersey on Friday. due to a haemorrhage into her vocal chord. Back in April Adele had to cancel U.S. concert dates because vocal chord issues. Adele has been advised by doctors that she’ll need an extended rest period in order to begin to recuperate properly.
